Tarumanagara University (Untar) commemorated Pancasila Day on June 1, 2025, with the national theme “Strengthening the Ideology of Pancasila Towards a Greater Indonesia.” This commemoration served as a reflective moment for the entire Untar academic community to reaffirm the university’s role in reinforcing the values of nationalism, tolerance, and unity.
As the foundational ideology of the nation, Pancasila has become a crucial pillar in building an inclusive and sovereign Indonesia. For Untar, these values are reflected in every aspect of campus activities, from teaching and research to community service.
In line with the national theme, Untar promotes the strengthening of student character through various programs that instill the values of unity, mutual cooperation, and social justice. Activities such as national seminars, cross-cultural discussions, as well as regular social and community service events are carried out as part of efforts to build ideological awareness among the younger generation.
Achmad Ridho Ibnu Atthar, a student of the Faculty of Communication Sciences (Fikom) at Untar, shared his views on how Pancasila is not only the foundation of the state but also a guiding principle relevant to life on campus and in society.
“As an Untar student, I see Pancasila Day as a reminder of the importance of applying the nation’s core values in real life. In our diverse campus environment, Pancasila is reflected through practices of tolerance, unity, and mutual cooperation. These values align with the spirit we uphold to shape a generation that is both integrity-driven and caring towards others,” he expressed.
Pancasila, as the unifying foundation of the nation, must be continuously preserved and strengthened, especially amid the challenges of globalization and changing times. With the spirit of Pancasila Day, Untar remains actively committed to building a Greater Indonesia based on a strong, tolerant, and just ideology.
