Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) reaffirms its commitment to becoming a leading university with strong national and international competitiveness. One of Untar’s main focuses is to strengthen its identity as an entrepreneurial university.
“Entrepreneurship is a distinctive hallmark of Untar, alongside research and community service,” stated Prof. Amad. With an annual intake capacity of 4,000 students, Untar strives to produce high-quality graduates who are ready to work at both national and international levels, said Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M.
He made this statement during an online interview with Media Kampus Indonesia on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, as part of the “Inspiration for the Nation” segment. During the session, he also outlined various strategic programs to be implemented during his leadership.
To achieve its vision of becoming an excellent university, Prof. Amad explained that Untar has designed three strategic programs: the development of academic and non-academic internationalization, academic innovation through the establishment of new study programs aligned with technological and societal developments, and close collaboration with industries and businesses. This synergy is expected to produce graduates who are adaptive, competent, and competitive.
“Untar is also developing a distance learning program to reach more students beyond the main campus, in accordance with the standards and qualifications set by the Ministry of Higher Education (Dikti) and LLDIKTI. This initiative aims to further establish Untar as a widely recognized, adaptive, and inclusive educational institution,” he added.
Beyond academic excellence, Untar also emphasizes character building among students through the core values of IPE: Integrity, Professionalism, and Entrepreneurship. Prof. Amad emphasized that developing human quality is an integral part of building Untar’s reputation as a leading university. (VC/YS/AJ)
