The Faculty of Law of Tarumanagara University (FH Untar) held the closing ceremony of the 6th National Mediation Competition for the Supreme Court Cup on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Building M, 8th Floor, Campus I of Untar.
This event marked the conclusion of a series of competitions that brought together students from various universities across Indonesia in a mediation simulation as a means of resolving business disputes.
The event featured the announcement of winners in various categories, from best case files to best mediators, as well as the overall competition winners. All participants demonstrated strong mediation skills, along with a spirit of collaboration and healthy conflict resolution.
The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., expressed his appreciation to all participants and those involved.
“I congratulate the winners. However, in truth, all participants are champions for having gone through the selection process and demonstrating outstanding performance. We also thank the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia for its cooperation and support throughout this event,” said the Rector, who also serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Law.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Legislation Division of the Legal and Public Relations Bureau of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia, Irwan Rosady, S.H., expressed his hope that mediation will be further optimized in legal practice.
“This competition is not just about finding winners, but also serves as a platform for learning and enhancing mediation skills for the younger generation,” he said.
This competition reflects Untar’s commitment to promoting the role of mediation in the legal field through education and ongoing academic activities. (WA/AJ)
