The event was attended by Untar’s Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., who, in his speech, expressed his gratitude to the organizing committee for hosting the celebration and to all attendees for their presence. He also expressed his hope for continued harmony and peace.
“This Christmas reminds us all to always prioritize peace and harmony, serving as a symbol for us to foster togetherness that helps us progress and become better,” said Prof. Amad.
After delivering his speech, Prof. Amad presented an award plaque to Mr. Ali Hanafi for his significant contribution to Untar’s 65th Anniversary celebration.
Also present at the event was the Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., who delivered an important message about the meaning of togetherness and unity. Prof. Ariawan emphasized the importance of upholding the values of peace and tolerance as the foundation for a harmonious life within the campus community and society at large.
In his speech, Prof. Ariawan explained the meaning behind this year’s Christmas theme: “‘Joy’ symbolizes the importance of maintaining happiness in life, ‘love’ reminds us to prioritize compassion in every action, and ‘hope’ inspires us to keep striving for a better future. These three values teach us to live with enthusiasm, respect one another, and remain optimistic.”
This year’s Christmas celebration became even more special with the announcement of the 12 best illustrators selected in the 2025 calendar illustration competition, which had been held several months prior.
