Untar has secured a position among the top ten private universities in Indonesia. According to the QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) Asia 2025 announcement released on Wednesday (06/11/2024), Untar ranked 114th in Southeast Asia and placed in the 661–680 band in Asia, improving from its previous position in the 701–750 band. This achievement reflects Untar’s continuous efforts to enhance the quality of higher education through research, innovation, and collaboration with national and international partners.
Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., stated that the achievement was the result of Untar’s development strategy, which focuses on academic excellence, international collaboration, and the integration of technology in education and research. “Untar is committed to continuing innovation, expanding partnership networks, and nurturing global talents who are prepared to face increasingly complex global challenges. We will also remain actively involved in community development and empowerment projects that generate a broad impact,” said Prof. Amad. The Rector also expressed his appreciation to all parties who contributed to this accomplishment.
Head of the Ranking Office, Bagus Mulyawan, S.Kom., M.M., added that the improvement in ranking was made possible through the collective contributions of Untar’s academic community, partners, and alumni. “This achievement is not the final destination. Rather, it serves as a benchmark and motivation for us to continue innovating, creating, and delivering the best for our students, society, and the academic world,” he explained.
Through this achievement, Untar has reaffirmed its determination to continuously improve its performance across various areas and strengthen its position in global university rankings.
Excellent and Internationally Accredited Study Programs
This success is reflected in the quality of the institution and its study programs, many of which have earned Excellent Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) and Independent Accreditation Agencies. A total of 19 undergraduate, master’s, and professional programs have achieved this distinction. Several study programs have also obtained international accreditation from leading accreditation bodies, including the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) accreditation.
With these accomplishments, Untar continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing the quality of higher education in Indonesia while strengthening its presence on the international stage.
