Doc: Untar PR – VC

Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) Untar held a gathering with parents of new students in order to establish friendship. The workshop with the theme “Collaboration between Generations: Realizing a Generation of Excellence, Quality and Global Insight” took place on campus I Untar, Saturday (14/9/2024).

The purpose of this activity, which is routinely carried out every time welcoming new students, is not only to establish friendship but also as a forum to provide explanations about the learning system and various student activities in the campus environment.

This was conveyed by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee Dr. Raja Oloan Tumanggor, S.Ag. “This activity is a good means to introduce academic and non-academic activities in the faculty for students and parents,” he said.

Dean of FPsi Untar, Sri Tiatri, Ph.D., Psychologist, stated that the education of the younger generation is not only the responsibility of educational institutions, but also families and students themselves. The Tri Dharma of Higher Education – education, research, and community service – cannot be implemented without the support of students and parents.

The workshop was also attended by Vice Rector Prof. Dr. H. Rasji, S.H., M.H. who advised students not only to memorize and understand knowledge but also to think, behave, and act well to meet future needs. (VC/PA/YS/KJ)
