The Untar Training and Education Center (Pusdiklat) held a seminar themed “Peaceful Retirement, Secure Finances” on Thursday (August 21, 2025) at Graha Swara, Untar Campus I.

The event was opened by the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., along with the Head of Untar Training Center, Dr. dr. Arlends Chris, M.Si., Sp.KKLP.

The seminar began with a presentation by psychologist Untung Subroto, S.Psi., M.Psi., who highlighted the importance of mental and emotional readiness in facing retirement. According to him, retirement is a complex transition phase that can affect mental health if not properly prepared. “Filling retirement with meaningful activities, such as pursuing hobbies, volunteering, or starting a small business, has been proven to improve mental well-being and extend life expectancy,” he explained.

He emphasized that retirement is not the end of one’s contribution. “A prosperous retirement is when the soul remains active and productive,” Untung affirmed.

Next, Rina Dewi Lina, M.M., CFP., CEC., AEPP., a financial planner and facilitator at Universitas Indonesia (UI), delivered a session on “Retirement Preparation Period.” Rina highlighted the importance of early financial planning so that retirement can be lived peacefully and prosperously. “Retirement is not the end, but rather a new phase that can still be productive if prepared thoroughly,” she said.

Through this seminar, the Untar Training Center provided a comprehensive guide to retirement preparation, covering mental, emotional, financial, and self-development aspects, enabling participants to face retirement with confidence, health, and continued productivity. (VC/YS)
