The Ministry of State Secretariat and Tarumanagara University Prepare Internship Programs and Joint Activities

Head of the Public Relations Bureau (Karo Humas) of the Ministry of State Secretariat (Kemensetneg), Eddy Cahyono Sugiarto, S.Sos., M.Si., visited Tarumanagara University (Untar) on Thursday (24/7/2025). The visit was welcomed by Untar’s Head of Public Relations and Multimedia, Rorlen, SE., MM., at the Untar Rectorate Office. Also present was the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Science (Fikom) Untar, Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si., representing the university leadership.

The meeting discussed various potential collaborations between the Ministry of State Secretariat and Untar, including internship opportunities for students. “Students from Untar’s Faculty of Communication Science (Fikom) have previously interned with us. We are open to opportunities for Untar students who wish to take internships or make visits to our office,” said Eddy.

He also stated that the Ministry of State Secretariat is open to collaborating with Untar in various forms of activities. “We are open if Untar wishes to organize joint activities,” he added.

In this visit, Eddy was accompanied by several staff members, including Senior Public Relations Officer Faisal Fahmi, S.H., M.H., and Junior Public Relations Analyst Oky Tri Handoko, S.S., M.A.

“I truly appreciate Untar for taking the time for this meeting. Hopefully, from this audience, we can design a collaboration that brings a positive impact for both parties,” concluded Eddy.

Responding to the visit, Dr. Riris Loisa expressed her appreciation for the collaboration offer extended by the Ministry of State Secretariat. She emphasized that Untar is always open to synergizing with various state institutions.

“On behalf of the Vice Rector of Untar, we truly appreciate this visit. Untar is always ready to explore collaboration opportunities that provide tangible benefits for both the institution and the students,” she said.

On the same occasion, Rorlen presented the organizational structure of Untar’s Public Relations and Multimedia Division. He also emphasized the importance of student involvement in the creative process of delivering information to the public.

“At Untar’s Public Relations, we involve students in producing social media content. We realize that to communicate effectively with today’s generation, the approach must also match their style,” explained Rorlen.

After the meeting, the delegation from the Ministry of State Secretariat was invited to tour the campus to see firsthand the academic atmosphere at Untar. The visit left a positive impression of the collaborative spirit and the educational environment fostered by Untar’s academic community.
