Buddhi Dharma University Builds Strategic Collaboration Through Comparative Study Visit with Untar

Untar welcomed a delegation from Buddhi Dharma University for a comparative study visit and collaboration exploration held on Tuesday (July 22, 2025) at Untar Campus I. This initiative is part of a strategic effort by both universities to strengthen synergy and establish collaboration across various fields.

The delegation from Buddhi Dharma University was warmly received by Untar’s Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Collaboration, Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist. In her welcoming remarks, she emphasized the importance of benchmarking activities as a means of exchanging best practices between higher education institutions, aimed at improving institutional quality. “Untar is always open to impactful collaboration, whether in academics, student development, or governance,” said the Vice Rector.

Also present from the Untar delegation were: Head of the Office of Quality Assurance and Audit – Desi Arisandi, S.Kom., M.T.I.; Head of the Center for Learning and Academic Innovation – Dr. Ir. Steven Darmawan, S.T., M.T.; Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Relations – Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Hugeng, S.T., M.T., SMIEEE, IPU; Head of the Center for Rankings and Reputation – Bagus Mulyawan, S.Kom., M.M.; Head of the Rectorate Office – Astari, S.Kom., M.Kom.; and Head of the Office of Public Relations and Multimedia – Rorlen, S.E., M.M.

From Buddhi Dharma University, the delegation was led by Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs, Dr. Jeni Harianto, S.Pd., M.Pd., accompanied by other senior leaders, including Head of the Bureau of Cooperation and International Relations – Gregorius Widiyanto, S.E., M.M.; Head of the Quality Assurance Institute – Yo Ceng Giap, S.Kom., M.Kom.; as well as deans from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Social and Humanities, and Faculty of Science and Technology.

During the presentation and discussion session, the Untar team elaborated on various institutional systems and policies, including academic quality assurance, learning innovation, ranking strategies, and efforts to strengthen campus reputation. The discussion was interactive, with both parties exchanging insights, challenges, and opportunities to enhance the quality of institutional management.

One of the main goals of this activity, as stated by Dr. Jeni Harianto, is to expand networks and build mutually reinforcing collaborations. “In today’s era of collaboration, we believe that the development of higher education institutions cannot take place in isolation. Through this comparative study, we aim to learn and exchange experiences so that each institution can grow to its fullest potential,” she said.

This comparative study visit marks the beginning of broader collaboration between Untar and Buddhi Dharma University, particularly in the areas of education, research, and community service. Both parties expressed hope that the partnership will contribute positively to enhancing the quality of higher education in Indonesia. (VC/YS)
