Ikatan Mahasiswa Arsitektur Universitas Tarumanagara (IMARTA), in collaboration with Taman Ismail Marzuki, successfully held Architectural Design Week 2025 with the theme “Atmosphere.”

This annual event ran for five days and officially concluded on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Emiria Soenassa Gallery and S. Sudjojono Gallery in Jakarta.

Kent Niels Wilfred Wu, the Head of Implementation for Architectural Design Week 2025, explained that this theme emerged from a concern about the impact of technology, which has led to people being trapped in screen addiction.

“We wanted to invite visitors to slow down for a moment, enjoy the space, and experience an atmosphere that touches the senses and encourages real interaction, he stated.

This event, which has consistently run for 12 consecutive years, serves as a platform for students to showcase their creative ideas in responding to current issues through art installations and spatial design.

The displayed works are the result of explorations by Untar Architecture students from the 2021–2024 cohort, designed with detail and full of meaning, reflecting the dedication and creativity of the students in conveying messages through the medium of space.

“My hope for the future is that Architectural Design Week not only endures but also continues to grow and become more widely known by the public. We hope this event can be an inspiration and a platform for the younger generation to keep exploring, presenting innovative works that are relevant to the challenges of our time, Kent concluded.

Through this exhibition, IMARTA continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting the development of student insights and creativity, while also inviting the public to better appreciate and enjoy architectural art that is relevant to modern life.
