Untar officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Matana University on Monday (14/07/2025) at Matana University Campus, Gading Serpong, Tangerang. This signing affirms both universities’ commitment to establishing a sustainable strategic partnership, particularly in the areas of education, research, and inter-institutional academic development.
The event was attended by the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., and the Rector of Matana University, Dr. Melitina Tecoalu, S.E., M.M., CFP, CHCP-A. Also present were members of the academic community from both universities, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ir. Hugeng, S.T., M.T., SMIEEE, IPU, Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Relations at Untar.
The signing ceremony took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Both parties exchanged views on the potential for collaboration and discussed forms of cooperation to be developed following the signing of the MoU.
On this occasion, both universities also presented their respective academic strengths and shared institutional experiences. This exchange of insights marked the first step toward building a mutually reinforcing synergy between the two institutions.
“I hope that with the signing of this MoU, both parties can continue to learn from each other and collaborate to enhance academic quality,” said Prof. Amad in his remarks.

Meanwhile, the Rector of Matana University, Dr. Melitina, expressed her appreciation for the establishment of this collaboration.
“We are very pleased and appreciate Untar’s willingness to establish this collaboration. I see this as very important for both parties to continue growing in a better direction. I hope there will be many exchanges of insights and mutually beneficial collaborations in the future,” she said.
The event concluded with the exchange of plaques and a group photo session as a symbol of the beginning of the collaboration between the two universities. This partnership is expected to be the first step toward the implementation of joint academic programs that will benefit students, lecturers, and the institutions as a whole.
