Untar, through the Faculty of Civil Engineering, officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PT Midasindo Teknik Utama on Thursday (10/07/2025) at Untar Campus I.

PT Midasindo Teknik Utama has been the sole distributor of MIDAS Information Technology in Indonesia since 2011. The company distributes engineering software for civil, structural, geotechnical, and mechanical fields developed by MIDAS IT Korea, supported by more than 250 developers and professional engineers.

This collaboration aims to provide legal access to MIDAS engineering software for students and lecturers of Untar’s Faculty of Civil Engineering, while also preventing the use of pirated software on campus. Through this partnership, MIDAS software will be officially available with valid licenses, supporting the learning process and technology-based competency development.

The MoU signing was attended by the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M.; the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ir. Harto Tanujaya, S.T., M.T., Ph.D.; the Head of the Undergraduate Civil Engineering Program, Dr. Ir. Daniel Christianto, S.T., M.T., IPM; and the Head of the Master’s Program in Civil Engineering, Dr. Ir. Wati Asriningsih Pranoto, M.T.

From PT Midasindo Teknik Utama, the event was attended by CEO Dr. Ir. FX Supartono, Director Andi Widjaja, and General Manager William David, S.T.

In his remarks, the Rector emphasized the importance of building synergy between universities, businesses, and industries to support the development of science and technology.

Meanwhile, Dr. Ir. FX Supartono stated that Untar is the first university chosen by PT Midasindo Teknik Utama to establish an official partnership. He expressed his hope that the academic community of Untar’s Faculty of Civil Engineering will benefit from the convenience and quality of using MIDAS products legally.
