The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of Untar has received the “Unggul” (Excellent) accreditation for its Bachelor of Medical Education Program and Medical Profession Program. The “Unggul” status was officially granted by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) and the Independent Accreditation Institute for Indonesian Health Higher Education (LAM-Kes).

The event, attended by faculty members, staff, alumni, and FK Untar’s partners, was held at Untar’s Campus I on Monday (July 7, 2025).

The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., in his speech, conveyed that this achievement is the result of the hard work of the entire academic community at FK Untar. “With this ‘Unggul’ accreditation, FK Untar is now even more prepared to attract prospective new students, as well as encourage the improvement of achievements among current students. Moving forward, FK Untar will also continue to develop towards specialized programs,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FK Untar, Dr. dr. Noer Saelan Tadjudin, Sp.KJ., added that the results of the visitation also included a message from the accreditation team, urging FK Untar not only to maintain its “Unggul” status but also to start preparing for the development of specialized education programs. “FK Untar is expected to continue demonstrating its existence as a faculty that is excellent, adaptive, and ready to compete both nationally and internationally,” he stated.

A representative from the Tarumanagara Medical Alumni Family (KAMT), Dr. Risa Anuar, also shared an inspiring message. “Excellence is not just about accreditation; it’s a way of life that must be embraced by all students and alumni. It’s not only the campus that should be excellent, but also the character and attitude of the graduates. This aligns with the spirit of FK Untar’s slogan, ‘Dedication Pro Humanitate,’ that becoming a doctor is about providing humane service.”

The event was lively and full of energy, with various performances that set the mood, including a musical show by Gita Swara, the student organization of FK Untar. The moment was also highlighted by a performance from Dr. Ruth, an alumni from FK Untar’s 2017 cohort, who played the harp. These performances served as proof that FK Untar not only focuses on academic aspects but also encourages the holistic development of its students’ talents, interests, and personalities.

With this achievement, FK Untar reaffirms its commitment to continuously produce doctors who are excellent in competence, resilient in facing challenges, and always prioritize humanitarian values. (VC/AJ)
