Untar continues to demonstrate its commitment to preparing graduates who are ready to compete in the workforce. Following the establishment of its own Professional Certification Institute (LSP), Untar is now conducting Competency Assessor Training as an initial step toward the operationalization of the institution.
The training takes place over four days, from June 16–20, 2025, at Untar’s Campus II. The event was officially opened by Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., and is attended by lecturers and representatives from five key supporting faculties: the Faculty of Communication Science (Fikom), Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Faculty of Medicine (FK), Faculty of Engineering (FT), and Faculty of Information Technology (FTI).
The Rector stated that the establishment of Untar’s LSP is part of a long-term strategy to enhance the quality of its graduates. “We want to ensure that every Untar graduate excels not only academically, but also possesses nationally recognized professional competencies,” he emphasized.
During the training, participants received direct technical guidance from assessors of the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), who served as instructors and mentors. The training covered assessment standards and certification evaluation methods in accordance with BNSP regulations.
The establishment of LSP Untar marks a significant milestone in Untar’s higher education transformation—shifting the focus not only on knowledge transfer but also on strengthening skills and expertise through verified competency certification.
Moving forward, LSP Untar is expected to independently conduct certification programs, providing added value for students and making Untar graduates more competitive in both national and international job markets. (VC/AJ)
