The Tarumanagara Management Student Association (IMMANTA) successfully held the 9th Tarumanagara Business Competition (TBC) from June 10 to 13, 2025. The event series culminated in a national seminar titled “PIONEER: Innovative Empowerment for Optimizing the People’s Economy, Creating Opportunities for a Better Future,” held at the Tarumanagara University Auditorium on Thursday (June 13).
The seminar featured two inspiring young speakers: Satrio Dwi Prakoso, founder of Sustainhaus, and Hariyanto, the culinary entrepreneur behind the Bakmi Kofei brand. Both shared their experiences in building sustainable businesses that create real social and economic impact.
Satrio emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability principles into business strategies as part of the effort to support the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). According to him, sustainability is not merely a trend, but a shared responsibility for the future of the next generation.
Meanwhile, Hariyanto shared his journey of building a business from scratch and his strategies for leveraging social media to expand his market. He emphasized that the key to business success lies in consistency and innovation.
TBC IX previously kicked off with a Business Plan Competition on June 10, which was participated in by more than 50 teams from various high schools across Indonesia. The event continued with a Business Case Competition from June 11 to 13, involving university students from 20 leading higher education institutions in Indonesia.
The event chairperson, Larissa Lavenia, expressed her appreciation to the Tarumanagara Foundation for its full support in organizing TBC IX, which also served as part of the commemoration of the 66th anniversary of the Tarumanagara Foundation.
“May TBC IX serve as both a learning platform and a source of inspiration for the younger generation to keep innovating and contributing to the nation’s economic development,” said Larissa in her opening remarks.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners of the 9th Business Case Competition, marking the end of IMMANTA’s annual program, which continues to serve as a prestigious platform for fostering the potential and competencies of the younger generation in business and entrepreneurship.
