Untar took part in the celebration of the 66th anniversary of the Tarumanagara Foundation through a collaborative batik-making activity involving lecturers, students, and individuals with special talents. The event, titled “66th Year of Excellence and Beyond,” was held at Graha Swara Hall, Untar Campus I, on Wednesday (June 5, 2025).

The activity was part of the series of events commemorating the 66th anniversary of the Tarumanagara Foundation. As a member of the foundation’s extended family, Untar demonstrated its support for the event, which promoted both cultural preservation and inclusivity.

Batik was chosen as the main medium because it represents a rich cultural heritage full of meaning. Each stroke of wax on the fabric not only creates a motif but also serves as a symbol of unity in diversity and a bridge that connects people beyond boundaries.

Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., expressed his appreciation for the successful organization of the event. He expressed hope that similar activities would continue to be held in the future.

“I see this event as very positive, In addition to providing a space for our friends with special talents to create alongside us, it also serves as a platform to preserve Indonesian culture through the art of batik-making. I hope that in the future, activities like this can continue to be held and further developed,” he said in his remarks.

Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Vedrych J. Kusnanto, S.Kom., M.M., also emphasized the importance of taking pride in the nation’s cultural heritage. He described the event as a reminder that batik is a national identity that must be preserved.

Through this activity, it is hoped that a collective awareness can be fostered—one that recognizes the importance of emracing diversity, preserving cultural heritage, and creating inclusive spaces for all in building the nation’s future.
