SIGNature returned as part of the 2025 Communication Week (Comweek) series organized by the Faculty of Communication Science at Tarumanagara University (Fikom Untar). Held at Hotel Neo Puri Indah, SIGNature embraced an interactive and inclusive concept.

Carrying the theme “SIGNature: Express Through Sign”, the event was designed as an educational yet enjoyable workshop aimed at raising public awareness about the importance of creating an inclusive environment for people with disabilities.

Dylan Jonathan Lioe, the event chairperson, stated that SIGNature is a reflection of concern toward the stigma that still surrounds disabilities.

“We want to raise awareness so that people can develop a broader perspective and begin to shift their mindset about disabilities. The hope is that all participants leave with a deeper understanding of inclusivity,” Dylan explained.

SIGNature collaborated with Konekin and the Teman Hebat Berkarya Foundation, two organizations actively engaged in empowering the disability community. This collaboration reinforced the event’s core message: that every individual has the space to grow and contribute—without limitations.

The event concluded on a high note with a lively performance by HalloHEXA, an emerging Indonesian band whose energy and enthusiasm added excitement and spirit to the celebration.

With an open-to-the-public concept, SIGNature proves that education can be enjoyable and meaningful, fostering change through direct experience and empathy. (VC/YS)
