Untar Reinforces Commitment to Produce Workforce-Ready Human Resources Through Industry Gathering 2025

Tarumanagara University (Untar), through the Student and Alumni Institution (Lemawa), held the Industry Gathering 2025 themed “Strengthening the Synergy Between Higher Education and Business & Industry for Superior Human Resources” on Tuesday (May 20, 2025) in the Auditorium Room of Untar Campus I. This event was part of the series of celebrations for the 66th Anniversary of the Tarumanagara Foundation.

More than 300 participants attended, consisting of university leadership, foundation management, lecturers, students, and over 40 representatives from industry partners. The event was designed as a discussion forum between higher education and the business world, focusing on aligning curriculum with the real needs of the industry to produce workforce-ready graduates.

The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. H. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., in his speech, emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships between the campus and industry. “I believe this event can become a forum for exchanging knowledge, experience, and beneficial collaboration for both parties,” he said.

The Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., also expressed his hope that this event could become a solution to the major challenges faced by graduates amid global dynamics. “With the holding of this event, it is expected that the campus and industry can mutually support each other in improving the quality of human resources,” he said.

The Chair of the Organizing Committee, Tri Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc., who is also the Head of Lemawa, stated that the Industry Gathering marks the starting point for ongoing collaboration in education, human resource development, internships, and recruitment. “We hope that Untar graduates become adaptive, innovative individuals who are ready to compete in the workforce,” he said.

The event was officially opened with a symbolic gong striking, followed by a presentation of Untar’s profile by the Vice Rector, Assoc. Prof. Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist. This was followed by a panel discussion and curriculum evaluation session led by Desi Arisandi, S.Kom., M.T.I., with active participation from industry partners.

The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs and a group photo session as a symbol of Untar’s commitment to fostering ongoing collaboration. Through Industry Gathering 2025, Untar reaffirms its role as a higher education institution that is adaptive to industry needs and focused on developing superior human resources for the nation’s future.
