The Rector of Tarumanagara University (Untar), Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., visited the iNews Media office on Friday (May 16, 2025) to accompany the Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, S.H., M.H., in discussing potential strategic cooperation between the Tarumanagara Foundation and the iNews Media Group.

The visit was warmly welcomed by Angela Herliani Tanoesoedibjo, Co-CEO of MNC Group and CEO of iNews Media Group, along with other senior executives.

During the meeting, Angela expressed that there are many potential areas for collaboration between the two parties, such as in research and development, training, and organizing joint activities within the campus environment.

She also highlighted the importance of mainstream media in the digital era, which is flooded with information lacking clear sources. “Mainstream media remain bound by ethics that are strictly upheld, including adherence to applicable regulations,” she stated.

Angela also expressed hope that the quality of graduates from universities like Untar can meet the demands of an increasingly dynamic industrial world.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Tarumanagara Foundation welcomed this collaborative initiative. He noted that many positive achievements by units under the Foundation—such as Untar, RS Royal Taruma, Institut Tarumanagara, and Untar Residence—could be more widely publicized with the support of iNews.

The Rector of Untar also conveyed his enthusiasm for this plan, stating that the collaboration aligns with Untar’s program to expand its network with the business and industrial sectors.

“We are also ready to conduct joint training sessions to enhance the quality of human resources from both parties,” expressed the Rector.

During the visit, the Rector was accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Dr. Riris Loisa, and the Head of Public Relations and Multimedia, Rorlen, S.E., M.M.
