Tarumanagara University (Untar) continues to demonstrate its commitment to transforming into a leading university at both the national and global levels. In the radio program “The Leader with the Rector” themed “Transformation Toward an Excellent University,” Untar Rector Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., outlined the university’s strategic vision and development roadmap for the future.

In the inspiring conversation, Prof. Amad emphasized that the role of universities today goes beyond simply producing graduates; they must be capable of shaping future leaders who are visionary and adaptable. “Untar doesn’t just aim to produce graduates who can quickly enter the workforce, but individuals who can think strategically and make a real impact on society,” he stated.
Prof. Amad explained that Untar’s transformation process is long-term and systematic. The improvements begin from within, covering sound governance, a value- and competency-based curriculum, and the strengthening of a progressive academic culture. “Campus transformation is a collective journey, not an instant project,” he asserted.
Five key strategies have been launched as concrete steps toward change: modernizing the curriculum, enhancing the quality of faculty and staff, digitizing campus services, internationalizing strategic partnerships, and strengthening research and innovation that directly benefit society.
Closing the discussion session, Prof. Amad delivered an inspiring message to the younger generation, especially Untar students. “We want Untar graduates to be agents of change—not only successful in their careers but also making meaningful contributions to the nation and the world.”
The participation of Untar’s Rector in this national forum reflects the institution’s seriousness and readiness in embracing a future of higher education that is more excellent, relevant, and impactful.
