Untar Faculty of Medicine Inaugurates New Doctors, Rector Emphasizes the Meaning of Service

The Faculty of Medicine at Tarumanagara University (FK Untar) held its 145th Doctor Inauguration and 86th Graduation Ceremony on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the Auditorium, 5th Floor, Building J, Untar Campus I.

The event began with an opening address by Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., who emphasized that the title of “doctor” is not merely a symbol of academic achievement, but a reflection of perseverance, sacrifice, and commitment built through a long and challenging journey.
“Now, their commitment to serve and dedicate themselves to society becomes the true manifestation of their educational journey,” said Prof. Amad.

In the academic report, the Dean of FK Untar, Dr. dr. Noer Saelan Tadjudin, Sp.KJ., announced that a total of 30 new doctors were officially inaugurated that day. He also led the oath-taking ceremony, conducted according to each graduate’s religion, as a symbol of the moral and professional responsibilities they are expected to uphold. With this inauguration, FK Untar has now graduated 5,134 doctors who are contributing to various regions across Indonesia.

The ceremony was also attended by Untar leadership and a representative of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Dr. Hendra Wiyanto, S.E., M.E. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of perseverance and the ability to keep up with technological advancements in order to become adaptive and relevant medical professionals in the modern era.

Support also came from the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI). Dr. dr. Cecilia R. Padang, Ph.D., FACR, Vice Chair I of IDI Jakarta Region and Chair of IDI West Jakarta, delivered a message to the newly inaugurated doctors. She also symbolically presented the Medical Code of Ethics book as a reminder of their commitment to the values of the medical profession.

On behalf of her fellow graduates, Dr. Peggy Luisananda Dyranngi expressed gratitude and shared her hope that the graduates will carry out their duties as professional, ethical, and service-minded medical practitioners.

As part of strengthening alumni ties, the Tarumanagara Medical Alumni Association (KAMT), represented by Dr. dr. Diah Rini Handjari, SpPA(K), symbolically presented alumni pins to the new graduates, officially welcoming them into FK Untar’s strong and supportive alumni network. (VC/AJ/YS)
