The Faculty of Communication Sciences at Universitas Tarumanagara (Fikom Untar) held its Practitioners Week event on Wednesday (April 30, 2025). This event marked the culmination of a three-day series of activities, featuring a range of speakers from various industries who shared insights with active Fikom students on the world of work and career development.
The event began with opening remarks from the Head of the Communication Studies Program at Fikom Untar, Dr. Sinta Paramita, S.I.P., M.A. In her speech, she emphasized that Practitioners Week is designed to provide students with insights, opportunities, and a clear overview of career prospects aligned with their interests and chosen fields.
Three speakers from the business and creative industries participated in the first session: Christina Alfiani (Co-Founder & Director of Delapan), PR Raymond Tjahyadi (Creative Director of BOLT Design), and Nicholas Rijako (CEO & Founder of Zero To One). They delivered presentations on the process of building a business and the importance of strong leadership qualities, both in the workplace and in team development. Interestingly, all three speakers are alumni of Fikom Untar who have successfully built their careers in their respective industries.
The next session featured Astari Tripuspita, HR Business Partner at Bosshire, who delivered a presentation on crafting creative and ATS-friendly CVs, as well as writing cover letters that meet recruitment standards. This session aimed to help students better prepare for the job application and selection process across various industries.
Practitioners Week is part of Fikom Untar’s student development program. The event connects students with professionals in their respective fields and provides direct access to relevant industry insights and practices aligned with the Communication Studies discipline. Held every semester, this event is a regular agenda of Fikom Untar, reflecting its ongoing commitment to preparing students for the professional world. (VC/AJ/YS)
