Doc: Untar Public Relations – VA

The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Untar, through its Barchelor of Business Management Program, invited Budi Thomas as a guest lecturer on Friday (21/3/2025) at Untar Campus II. As the founder of Jacquelle Beaute, a local beauty brand, Budi delivered a session on “Building Competitiveness Through Sustainable Innovation”. This event aimed to foster an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset among students.

Budi emphasized the importance of sustainable innovation in maintaining business competitiveness. He shared his experience on how Jacquelle has grown by engaging in strategic collaborations, including partnerships with Disney and the animated series Spy x Family. This success is driven by Jacquelle’s team’s commitment to continuous innovation, ensuring the brand remains relevant to market trends.

In an interview session, Budi Thomas expressed that this opportunity allowed him to share his knowledge and experiences with the younger generation. He noted the lack of accessible business information for Indonesian youth and hoped to encourage students to take the leap and start their own businesses.

“If you want to start a business, don’t be afraid of failure. Don’t be afraid of exhaustion, because success doesn’t happen overnight. Stay motivated and keep pushing forward. There will always be ups and downs, but that’s completely normal. The most important thing is to keep innovating and enjoy the process”, he emphasized.

The Head of the Business Management Program Dr. Frangky Selamat, S.E., M.M., expressed his appreciation to Budi Thomas for attending as a guest speaker and sharing his insights and experiences with the students. He hoped that students would find inspiration from the experiences shared during the session.
