CREBO Season 2: “Eclipse of Eternity” Encourages Creativity and Entrepreneurial Spirit Among UNTAR Visual Communication Design Students

The Visual Communication Design (DKV) Program of the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD) at UNTAR once again held its annual event, CREBO (Creative Boulevard) Season 2, with the the “Eclipse of Eternity“. This art exhibition serves as a platform for both current DKV students and alumni to showcase and sell their orginal works.

CREBO Season 2 was successfully held at Building M, UNTAR Campus I, from Monday (March 17, 2025) to Friday (March 21, 2025). The event will continue at Mall Taman Anggrek from March 28 to 30, 2025. With a theme inspired by galaxies and outer space, participants showcased space-themed merchandise, including keychains, t-shirts, pouches, stickers, phone straps, blind boxes, and other creative products.

The Chairman of CREBO 2025, Steven Jonathan, a student from the Faculty of Art and Design (FSRD), Visual Communication Design Program at UNTAR, stated that the event aims to foster students’ entrepreneurial spirit, provide real experience in selling their work, and help them generate income from their creativity. “CREBO is not just a platform for students to showcase their work, but also a learning opportunity in marketing strategies and creative business management,” he explained.

The event involved various parties, including the Head of the Undergraduate Visual Communication Design Program at UNTAR, Ruby Chrissandy, S.Sn., M.Ds., and Anny Valentina, S.Sn., M.Ds., as the supervising lecturer. CREBO targets a broad audience, ranging from students to the general public aged 13 to 25 years, both from within and outside the UNTAR community.

By hosting CREBO annually, the Visual Communication Design Program at UNTAR demonstrates its commitment to fostering creativity and cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset among students. Through this exhibition, students not only enhance their design skills but also gain firsthand experience in navigating the challenges of the creative business world. It is hoped that this event will continue to grow and serve as an inspirational platform for young generations to express their creativity. (VA/AJ/YS/VA)
