The assessment team from the Independent Accreditation Institute for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) Indonesia conducted a field assessment as part of the accreditation process for the Medical Professional Program and the Bachelor of Medicine Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Untar, on Friday (March 14, 2025).
The assessment conducted by the accreditation team, consisting of Prof. Dr. dr. Dedi Afandi, DFM., Sp.FM., Subsp. EM(K)., M.M., MARS., M.H., Dr. Zulkifli, Sp.An-KIC, M.Kes, MARS., Dr. Abdul Gofir, M.Sc., Sp.S(K), and Dr. Eti Poncorini Pamungkasari, M.Pd., took place over two days.
The assessment team was welcomed by the Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., along with the Vice Rector of Untar, Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Si., Ph.D., Psychologist. Also present at the reception were the Secretary of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Vedrych J. Kusnanto, S.Kom., M.M., the Head of the Faculty of Medicine at Untar, Dr. dr. Noer Saelan Tadjudin, Sp.KJ., the Head of the Medical Professional Program, Dr. Shirly Gunawan, Sp., FK, and the Head of the Bachelor of Medicine Program, Dr. Yoanita Widjaja, M.Pd.Ked.
The Rector of Untar stated that the accreditation process is a natural part of a university or study program, serving as an essential component of the external quality assurance system. This process must be continuously carried out to maintain the quality of learning and other academic aspects.
“This is a responsibility of the study program, especially in the Faculty of Medicine, as part of its efforts to improve quality and standards. On behalf of the Untar leadership, we hope that this field assessment process, which will continue until tomorrow, runs smoothly and yields results that meet our expectations,” he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Faculty of Medicine at Untar expressed hope that the field assessment conducted by LAM-PTKes would further enhance the quality of the Faculty of Medicine at Untar.
This assessment aims to validate the accreditation of the Medical Professional Program and the Bachelor of Medicine Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Untar, to ensure that the quality of education meets national standards. The Faculty of Medicine at Untar is committed to continuously updating its curriculum to remain relevant and to produce competent graduates who are ready to compete on a global scale. (VA/AJ/YS/VC)
