The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at Tarumanagara University (Untar) held a Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Seminar with the theme “Character Building Through MBKM” at Untar Campus II on Friday, November 22, 2024.
This event featured various expert speakers who shared insights and emphasized the importance of applying MBKM values in shaping students’ character.
In his speech, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. H. Rasji, S.H., M.H. emphasized that MBKM provides a valuable learning opportunity for students.
“The university provides full support and facilitates students to engage in activities both within and beyond their study programs, offering diverse learning experiences and opportunities to shape them into multi-talented graduates,” he stated.

The MBKM Seminar featured three speakers: Tri Sutrisno, S.Si., M.Sc., Manager of the Student and Alumni Affairs Institute at Untar; Eka Yanuar, S.E., Director and Founder of PT JR Pangan Semesta; and Fanny Magdalena, Partner at KJA PT Akuradata Cendekiatama Ekspertia Solusindo and Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Untar. They shared valuable insights on the importance of implementing the MBKM program in shaping students’ character to be outstanding.
Tri Sutrisno explained that the support provided by universities for the MBKM program is a crucial part of realizing the vision and mission of Indonesia. He emphasized that the younger generation will be shaped and educated to be competitive, adaptive, flexible, and capable individuals, ready to face the challenges ahead.
Meanwhile, Eka Yanuar, a practitioner in the food industry, revealed that the MBKM program helps students apply the knowledge they have gained. The practical skills acquired through MBKM will serve as valuable assets for students in their future careers.
Fanny Magdalena, who is also a Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Untar, added that the MBKM program not only develops technical skills but also shapes students’ character in areas such as leadership, work ethics, and adaptability in an ever-evolving environment. She emphasized that networking is a key factor in advancing one’s career.
Through the various discussions shared by the speakers, students were encouraged to actively take advantage of every opportunity provided by the university to support the MBKM program.
