Untar has secured its position among the top 10 private universities (PTS) in Indonesia. The QS World University Rankings (QS WUR) Asia 2025, announced on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, ranked Untar 114th in Southeast Asia and 661-680th in Asia, a notable improvement from its previous position of 701-750.
This achievement reflects Untar’s consistent efforts to enhance higher education quality through research, innovation, and collaboration with both national and international partners.
Untar Rector, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., emphasized that this milestone is the result of Untar’s development strategy focusing on academic excellence, international collaboration, and the integration of technology in education and research.
“Untar is committed to continuous innovation, expanding partnerships, and nurturing global talents prepared to address the complexities of the modern world. Furthermore, we aim to remain actively involved in impactful community development and empowerment projects,” said Prof. Amad.
He also extended his gratitude to the entire team for their support in achieving this ranking. Head of Ranking Office, Bagus Mulyawan, S.Kom., M.M., highlighted, “This improvement is the result of contributions from the entire academic community, partners, and alumni of Untar. It serves not as an endpoint but as a benchmark and motivation to continue innovating and excelling for the benefit of students, society, and the academic world.”
Accredited Excellence and International Recognition
Untar’s success is mirrored in its institutional and program quality, with 19 programs across Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Professional levels achieving “Unggul” Accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN PT) and independent accreditation bodies.
Several programs have also obtained international accreditations from prominent organizations such as the Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (IABEE) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
This achievement underscores Untar’s dedication to advancing higher education quality in Indonesia and solidifying its global standing. Untar continues to innovate and improve to realize its vision as a globally competitive university.
