Untar and Adventist University of the Philippines Agree on Efforts for Internationalization Collaboration

The Rector of Untar, Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M., witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Adventist University of the Philippines (AUP). The cooperation document was signed on behalf of Untar by the Deans of the Faculty of Psychology (FPsi) Sri Tiatri, S.Psi., M.Psi., Ph.D., Faculty of Communication Science (Fikom) Dr. Riris Loisa, M.Si., and the Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) Dr. Kurnia Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum., while AUP was represented by Dr. Michael Naidas, Dean of the College of Arts and Humanities, at Untar Campus I on Monday (October 21, 2024). The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) broadly outlines the agreement to engage in international collaboration. Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. expressed that the collaboration between Untar and AUP is expected to continue and develop in the future. “The Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between AUP and the three faculties at Untar aims to strengthen academic relationships and improve educational quality. This collaboration program is expected to continue and bring significant benefits to both parties,” he said. AUP representative Dr. Michael Naidas also expressed gratitude to Untar for the opportunity to collaborate. During the event, a presentation was made on collaborative activities organized by Untar, including the International Psychology Student Exchange Program (IPSEP), involving Untar’s Faculty of Psychology and several faculties at AUP. The event was attended by the Head of the Office of Cooperation and International Relations at Untar, Dr. Hugeng, S.T., M.T., while the AUP delegation included Dr. Mylene S. Gumarao, Chairperson of the Graduate Psychology Department, Dr. Myrtle C. Orbon-Grijalvo, Chairperson of the Psychology Department, Dr. Levy M. Fajanilan, Faculty of the Psychology Department, and Ms. Cutie B. Canesares, Faculty of the Psychology Department. The collaboration with AUP strengthens Untar’s efforts toward becoming a World Class University (WCU) through internationalization programs. Previously, higher education institutions from countries such as China, Australia, Taiwan, and Malaysia have also entered into agreements for international collaboration in various fields.
