Visual Communication Design (DKV) Undergraduate Study Program of Faculty of Fine Arts and Design (FSRD) Untar established an international cooperation with Malaysian Academy of SME Entrepreneurship Development (MASMED) of Mara University of Technology (UiTM) Malaysia.
The collaboration was marked by the signing of a Letter of Intent, which was followed by the inauguration of an exhibition of works by FSRD Untar and MASMED UiTM students, entitled ‘Student Exhibition (SE): Decodes 2024′. The event took place at the Executive Lounge, 5th Floor, Main Building, Campus I Untar, Wednesday, (09/25/2024). The signing was witnessed by the Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia YM. Dato’ Syed Mohamad Hasrin Tengku Hussin and Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M.
In his speech, the Malaysian Ambassador expressed his appreciation and gratitude for the cooperation because it can provide benefits for the future.
“This collaboration provides many benefits for the future of humanity and the environment by implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program. Likewise, this collaboration creates a good relationship for both countries, between Malaysia and the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, S.H., M.H., M.Kn., M.M. said this cooperation agreement can move Untar’s participation in international collaboration programs to support sustainable development programs (SDGs), this implementation is very good and needs to be continued. This program can help the government and society today as well as in the future.
This collaboration is expected to create new innovations that benefit current and future generations, as well as focusing on skill development and enriching global insights.
The occasion was also attended by Malaysian Education Advisory Minister Dr. Hasnul Faizal Hushin Amri and Dean of FSRD Untar Dr. Kurnia Setiawan, S.Sn., M.Hum. (VC/YS/PA/VC)
