The Urban and Regional Planning – Real Estate (PWK-RE) program at Untar is collaborating with the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) for a student exchange program from August 26 to 30, 2024.
The student exchange program aims to provide students with the opportunity to learn about governance in each other’s countries, as well as to enhance their academic experience through specially designed classes and activities.
During their stay in Indonesia, in addition to attending classes in the morning, the students will also participate in various extracurricular activities outside of campus and experience public transportation in Jakarta.
“Indonesia is a very dynamic country with an amazing culture. I am very interested in the topic I am studying here, which is urban informality in Jakarta,” said Leila, one of the SUTD students.
Kenneth, another SUTD student, enjoyed the program. He mentioned that one of the Untar students voluntarily invited him to explore the Student Activity Units (UKM) at Untar.
This program is attended by 15 students from both universities, nine SUTD students and six Untar students, who will also visit Singapore from September 2 to 6, 2024.
While in Singapore, Untar students are taught how to use technology in learning, particularly in observing and understanding urban planning.
“It’s really fun! Besides Singapore having great urban planning, we also learned a lot from the professors. The program is excellent, the people are really nice, and the professors are great. It’s top-notch,” said Michael, one of the Untar students.
This student exchange program is expected to strengthen the relationship between Untar and SUTD, Singapore. (DP/YS/KJ)
