Untar’s Public Relations received the highest national award at the Anugerah Diktiristek 2023 event organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) at Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel, Wednesday (13/12).
Untar’s Public Relations received three awards at once for the category of private universities (PTS), namely Gold Winner in the subcategory of Pages and Social Media, and Silver Winner for Untar Public Relations Dra. Paula T. Anggarina, M.M. in the subcategory of Public Relations Personnel. The award was handed over by Plt. Director General of Diktiristek Prof. Ir. Nizam, M.Sc., D.I.C., Ph.D.
Paula explained that quality and positive information is needed by the public today, amid the spread of information that tends to be negative. According to her, public relations has an important role to build a good communication culture. Moreover, as a higher education institution, it must be able to present credible and responsible information to stakeholders.
“Academics must set an example of good communication to the community,” said Paula.
Paula specifically thanked LLDikti III and the Directorate General of Diktiristek for the award. She also expressed her appreciation to the Rector and the entire Untar Academic Community who have actively contributed through various Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi activities, academic and non-academic achievements, as well as activities to implement the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka program, producing information. Public Relations is in charge of mixing it into content or news to be communicated to the public.
“Every hard work will pay off. The solid Untar’s Public Relations team can realize the highest achievement in the field of higher education public relations. Once again, as the Public Relations Officer of Untar, I would like to thank you for the extraordinary work of the entire team,” he said as an expression of gratitude as well as a message to the members of the Untar’s Public Relations Team.
Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., ASEAN Eng. who attended the event said that this achievement is a proof that Untar’s Public Relations has presented a good performance and has a positive impact on Untar’s reputation. According to him, Untar’s Public Relations helps improve Untar’s reputation by spearheading the dissemination and absorption of information from and to the public.
Furthermore, the Rector is committed to continue improving the performance of Untar’s Public Relations and is ready to share with other universities that will develop their public relations.
“We are also grateful because Untar’s Public Relations Officer, Dra. Paula T. Anggarina, M.M., managed to become an inspiring figure for the development of Untar’s reputation,” he concluded.
Plt. Director General of Diktiristek in his speech hoped that this appreciation would strengthen the spirit to enter 2024 for the progress of the nation and state.
Anugerah Diktiristek 2023 gives 500 awards to business and industry (DUDI), universities, and media that have become partners of Kemendikbudek and DG Diktiristek in supporting the transformation of Indonesian education.
Untar’s Public Relations itself has previously won the Top 5 PTS with the Best and Most Productive Public Relations in the LLDikti III Environment in 2020, Higher Education with the Best Social Media Performance Report in 2021, and Bronze Winner for the Higher Education sector in the Social Media category of the 2023 Public Relations Indonesia Awards (PRIA).
