The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemendikbudristek RI) issued Permendikbudristek Number 53 Year 2023 regarding Quality Assurance of Higher Education in Jakarta, Friday (18/8).
Higher education actively carries out Higher Education Quality Assurance activities in a sustainable and planned manner to improve its quality.
Quality assurance in higher education is carried out through the establishment, implementation, evaluation, control, and improvement of Higher Education Standards (SPT), based on the Higher Education Quality Assurance System (SPM Dikti).
Acting Director General of Higher Education, Research and Technology Nizam said that Permendikbudristek Number 53 of 2023 is a framework for developing standards in higher education at the Socialization of Permendikbudristek Number 53 Year 2023 regarding Higher Education Quality Assurance System that was held online, Wednesday (6/9).
“With extensive flexibility and autonomy, universities can develop standards according to the needs of graduate competencies. Therefore, it does not have to be in accordance with the initial reference but only refers to the framework,” said Nizam.
Head of Untar’s Quality Assurance and Resources Institute Ir. Gregorius Sandjaja, M.T. said that quality assurance activities at Untar have been carried out internally and externally.
Internally, Untar has implemented the Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI). Externally, Untar has been accredited, both at the institution and study program level.
“The quality assurance system at Untar is always updated, the policy is also reviewed every 5 years,” added Ir. Gregorius.
Untar was also the recipient of the award for Private University with the Best SPMI and Private University with the Best Quality Governance from the Higher Education Service Institute Region III in March.
