Rector of Untar Prof. Dr. Ir. Agustinus Purna Irawan, M.T., M.M., I.P.U., A.E. moderated the Economy and Business Talk Show themed “Turning Recessesion Into Opportunity In Furniture Industry” at Solo Technopark, Surakarta City, Central Java, Tuesday (25/7).

The event organized by the Indonesian Furniture and Handicraft Industry Association (ASMINDO) presented speakers Homeware International Indonesia Director Anne Patricia, Asia Marketing Federation (AMF) Chairman and Markplus Corp Founder Hermawan Kartajaya, Founder and Chairman of Vivere Group Dedy Rochimat, and Chairman of Kadin Surakarta Ferry Idrianto.

Founder and Chairman of Vivere Group Dedy Rochimat advised national furniture entrepreneurs to have the courage to start a business. This is in line with the government’s efforts to improve export performance and encourage the progress of the furniture industry sector in Indonesia.

Closing the event, the Rector who also serves as the Secretary General of ASMINDO hoped that business players will continue to be motivated and enthusiastic in running the business.

It is hoped that the national furniture and handicraft industry sector can be more advanced in the international arena.
