As a disaster-prone country money, effective and efficient handling will minimize loss of life and material. Not only radio, television, print, and online media, social media also started out as a place to socialize switching function. Twitter is a social media aggressively highlighting the third incident, actively engaged in disaster management. Based on this, the study was conducted to see how the role of social media, especially Twitter in crisis communication management. The study was conducted by using a case study of two twitter group that appears during Merapi eruption
