The Graduate Program of Urban & Real Estate Development, Universitas Tarumanagara held a discussion as a tribute to John Friedman, his works and legacy on Wednesday, August 8th, 2017. John, known as the pope of planning, was an influential and critical urban planner, educator and writer. His theory has challenged the ethics and practice of planning until today.

In this special event, there were three main speakers: Dr. Ir. Hendro Sangkoyo as one of John’s partner for six years long in Australia, Ir. Kemal Taruc, M.Sc., M.B.A. as one of the distinguished urban planning practitioners in Indonesia and Alejandro De Castro Mazzaro from Columbia University, United States of America (USA). This event was held with enthusiasm from the participants Campus I, Universitas Tarumanagara (UNTAR).  (RA).
