City Branding Development Through Tourism Communication

Tarumanagara Communication Science Faculty lecturers are following the national seminar and Call for Paper on theme “City Branding & Tourism Policy Based on Cultural Wisdom in Indonesia”. The event was organized by Social and Political Sciences Faculty of Muhammadyah University at Ketapang Indah Hotel, Banyuwangi, East Java on 20-21 October 2017. The lecturers are Yugih Setyanto S.Sos., M.Si., Gregorius Genep Sukendro, S.Sos., M.Si., Farid, SS, M.Sc., Wulan Purnama, SIKom., M.Si., and Sinta Paramita, SIP., MA. The interesting part of this National Seminar is the participants are invited to see tourism activities in Banyuwangi. One of them is Ngopi Ten Ewu Festival Indigenous Village Osing Kemitren, East Java. People in Adata Osing Kemitren village display tables and chairs in front of his house to provide seats to the tourists who come while enjoying coffee and provided free of charge. Festival Ten Ewu Coffee is held once a year as the local governments successfully develop the city branding. Local governments and academics hope that the Festival can attract more tourists to come to Banyuwangi (SP)
