Indonesian Government establish the tourism sector in order to build country’s economical activity.Various attempts are made to support such efforts involving the society to manage tourist attractions. Therefore, communication strategies are required to strengthen the community’s economical activity in tourist attractions way.
This is the research’s background which was conducted by Septia Winduwati, Lusia Savitri Setyo Utami and Yugih Setyanto about tourism communication with the basic of empowering the society. The location was in Senaru Village, Bayan North Lombok. The field research was conducted in 19-21 May 2017 to obtaining the data directly through interviews and observations on the site.
According to Septia Winduwati also the Head of Research, researches are made to give us envision about how the communication has a great role to empower the society, especially in supporting the government program in tourism.
From the temporal discovery. The society’s main modal is to developing the tourism potential which could be optimized with the government’s aid by empowering the community with good communication.
This research was funded by internal grant of Tarumanagara University also the emblem of colleges. Previously the three lecturers have done the research related to public relations in developing the brand image eco-tourism in West Nusa Tenggara. They also had granted the higher education to developing the similar research this year.
Untar through Fikom supported the lecturers in conducting the tridharma through researches and community services and have done various services in several locations such as Denpasar, Manado, Padang, Surabaya, and Lombok Island. (YG)
