On Friday, Marcy 17th 2017 at Hotel Santika BSD City, Universitas Tarumanagara’s Public Health Department of Faculty of Medicine had a meeting with Tangerang Regency’s Health Department Officials and Head of its Primary Healthcare Centers, where FK UNTAR’s clerkship students are stationed. This meeting was attended by FK UNTAR’s dean, Dr. dr. Meilani Kumala, MS., Sp.GK(K), FK UNTAR’s Head of Public Health Department dr. Erni Hermijanti, M.Kes., Coordinator of FK UNTAR’s Public Health Clerkship students dr. Novendy, MKK, FISPH., FISCM. and other FK UNTAR’s Public Health staff. The Head of the Health Department of Tangerang’s Regency, dr.Hj. Desiriana Dinardianti, MARS., also came, accompanied by the Coordinator of Health Resources and People Empowerment Department, Hj. Dwi Harti Nugraheni, SKM., MKM, and Heads of Legok, Gembong, Kronjo, Sindang Jaya, Cikupa, Teluk Naga and Mauk Primary Healthcare Center.

This annual meeting’s purpose, is to create and nurture good relationship with Tangerang Regency’s Health Department. In this event, FK UNTAR discussed about the responsibilities of its Public Health Clerkship students while stationed in a Primary Healthcare Center (Puskesmas). Some of the responsibilities include providing daily health care services to patients, family doctor visitations, mosquito’s nest eradication, performing community diagnosis and implementing its intervention and also other various programs of Puskesmas. Tangerang’s regency Health Officials welcomed the active participation of FK UNTAR and discussed with FK UNTAR regarding the optimal approach on tackling various public health issues, and how FK UNTAR’s Public Health Clerkship students could play a role in it. This meeting also opened the opportunity for FK UNTAR to conduct various researches, in collaboration with the Tangerang’s Regency Health Department, to further improve Tangerang citizens Health.
