Faculty of Information Technology Tarumanagara University (FTI UNTAR) held 13rd National Seminar on Information Technology about “Big Data: From Problems to Solutions”. This event was opened by Rector of UNTAR, Prof. Dr. Agustinus Purna Irawan on Saturday, October 29th 2016 at 8th floor Main Auditorium, M-Block, Campus 1 of UNTAR.

Dean of Faculty of Information Technology Tarumanagara University, Prof. Dr. Dyah Erny Herwindiati, M.Sc. in her speech said that this topic is selected to address the problem in information technology caused by information explosion of many kinds of data such as text, image, audio, and video.

In his opening speech, Rector of UNTAR mentioned about the importance of collaboration with other disciplines to make use of information technology. “It is better to involve many people in different field in this event so information technology can be collaborated with many disciplines”, he said.

Chairman of the Committee, Agus Budi Dharmawan, M.T., M.Sc said that in this event there’s Keynote Speaker from Bandung Institute of Technology, Prof. Dr.Ing. Ir. Benhard Sitohang and Invited Speaker Managing Director of Oracle Indonesia, Erwin Sukiato. This event is followed by 77 papers from 36 institutions in Indonesia. (j)
