In the framework of community development and help the community, as well as the form of active participation of universities in community development and help people, especially related to science communication, Faculty of Communication (Fikom) Tarumanagara University Jakarta (Untar) conducting Community Services, with the theme: “Improving Quality of Service through Service Excellence to Improve Customer Satisfaction “. This event is organized by the Faculty of Communication Sciences Lecturer UNTAR Drs. Widayatmoko, MM., M.Ikom. and Lusia Savitri Setyo Utami, S. Sos., M.Sc. This event was held on June 17, 2016 at Citizens SMA Surakarta, Central Java, and was followed by the High School Teachers and Employees.
Excellent service or service excellence to the demands of society, in line with the increased need and awareness in society as a breakeven of advances in technology. High quality service is a demand, not only in business activities, but also in the activities of the service agencies or educational institutions. In a world where both teachers and education employees are also involved to improve and enhance the quality of its services. Quality of service is low due to lack of knowledge and skills about serving well. The impact the level of satisfaction of service to consumers is low. Based on these assumptions, it is not excessive if necessary, given an understanding of the importance of excellent service or service excellence in improving customer satisfaction in educational institutions.
