The Student’s Executive Board (BEM) of Faculty of Medicine of Tarumanagara University (FK Untar) have an urge to improve and develop the students potency and capabilities on writing a medical scientific papers. Implanting the seed of passion to create and further improve medical knowledge is also one of the urges the BEM has. And for that reason, FK Untar’s BEM , supported by the faculty, choose to hold the Tarumanagara Medical Competition, a scientific competition which is open to students, interns, and other health associated sciences. On this opportunity, FK Untar’s BEM decided the theme of the competition to be “Reducing Sexually Transmitted Infections: A Practical Plan to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (REVOLUTIONS)” in accordance to the seminar which the BEM will also hold. On this theme, there are several subtheme, which are :
- Innovation on Medical Community Sciences on Education and Approach to the society regarding Sexually Transmitted Disease Prevention
- Development of Medical Biochemistry Science and Biomolecular Science on Developing Early Detection and Diagnosis of Sexually Transmitted Disease
- Development of Medical Biochemistry Science and Biomolecular Science on Developing Therapies of Sexually Transmitted Disease
- Innovation of Herbal Medication on The Treatment of Sexually Transmitted Disease
- The role of Modern Medical Technology on Preventing and Dealing with Sexually Transmitted Disease
On this occasion, the committee will be receiving three types of scientific papers, which is scientific essay, scientific poster, and public poster. For those who are interested in competing may register and send their scientific papers until May 8th 2016. Finalist presentation and the winner announcement wil be held at May 28th 2016, at Room 501, 502, and 508 of J Building FK Untar. The committee also prepares the prize for the winners with the sum of 10 million rupiah. Certificate, and a trophy.
