He earned a Bachelor of Economics (S.E.) from the Faculty of Economics in Universitas Diponegoro, a Bachelor of Law (S.H.) and a Master of Management (M.M.) from Universitas Gajah Mada and pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard University. He then obtained his Doctoral (PhD) degree in Philosophy from the National University of Singapore (NUS). He also attended training and courses like Training Workshop on Environmental Reform: The Next Generation Project at Yale University and Semester Courses at Harvard Business School and Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Areas of interest include Arbitration (Commercial and Investment), Alternative Dispute Resolution, Business Law, Environmental Law, International Business Transactions, and Foreign Investment. Experienced in various organisations, he served as Director of Communication and Government Relations at the Harvard Club of Indonesia (HCI), Chairman of the Central Executive Board of the Indonesian Legal Professionals Association (APHI), and currently the Secretary-General of the United States Alumni Association (ALUMNAS). In addition, he has served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Indonesian Tourism Promotion Board (BPPI), National Research Team Leader for Alternative Dispute Resolution and National Coordinator of Verification of Documents for Debtor Assets of PT PPA Persero (former IBRA).
