Forgiving and forgetting, while practicing charity and kindness will lead to a better life. This statement was delivered by the Rector Prof. Dr. Agustinus Purna Irawan during a Halal bi Halal event and gathering of the Untar family at the auditorium of M Building on Thursday (6/7). The event with the theme “Maintaining Tolerance and Hospitality” also is attended by the Board of Trustee and the Board of Director of Tarumanagara Foundation, and the academicians of Untar.
The Rector calls for practicing goodness in serving the community and giving positive contributions in life. Consistent with the spirituality of the fasting season which shall be implemented with sincerity, he says: “Do not just pursue ‘the materials’, but kindly focus more on filling your spirit with good things.”
The BOD Chairman of Tarumanagara Foundation Dr. Gunardi S.H., M.H. in his welcome speech states that the culture of forgiveness actually is the reflection of brotherhood. Through positive interaction, we can establish a better communication in the Tarumanagara University family.
The Halal bi Halal was enlivened with dances and singing performances by Untar students. They are students from the Psychology Faculty’s student activity unit, Padma, performing a Saman dance from Aceh, while four students from different faculties, the Untar band student activity unit, play a couple of songs entertaining the audience.
