The study program Master of Real Estate Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar) in cooperation with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung held a seminar entitled “Social City Concepts”, at the Campus Untar, Monday (3/10). The seminar, which discussed the differences between urban development, was opened by Untar Vice-Rector, Dr. R.M. Gatot P. Soemartomo. S.E, S.H, M.M, LL.M.
The first session of the seminar discusses the Urban Development Concept in Indonesia and Germany delivered by German Institute Managing Director of Urban Affairs, Prof. Martin zur Nedden. Speakers include the General Director of Ministry of National Cultural historian Hilmar Farid Ahmad Rifai (co-founder and Excecutive Director of Yayasan Kota Kita Solo), and Ahmad Djuhara (Indonesian Architectural Association). Acting as the moderator is Andi Simarmata, Ph.D. Urban Development Studies of the University of Indonesia.
The second session discusses the Community, Politics, Housing and Traffic. Speaking in the session is the Group Head of Planning, Housing and Transportation Development, Department of Social and Economic Policy (WISO) Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Mr. Rene Bormann and Kemal Taruc, M.Sc., MBA. of the Tarumanagara University Urban Development Program, and Marco Kusumawijaya and Bernardus Djonoputro from Indonesian Planning Association (API), while the second session was moderated by Evi Mariani Sofian from the Jakarta Post.
