The Deputy Head of the Drug Police Unit of West Jakarta Resort, Police Commissioner, H. Khoiri S.H., M.M. while counseling the students of Untar
Drug abuse is one of the major problems faced by the people of Indonesia, after the corruption issue. Starting from citizens, public figures, the government officials, and even students can be the victims of drug abuse. Universities should be able to assist the government in countering drug abuse, especially among students who are the next generation of the nation.
The Rector, Prof. Dr. Agustinus Purna Irawan, delivered this statement during a Counseling on the Danger of Drugs, in cooperation with the West Jakarta Police Resort on Thursday (2/11), at Untar Campus.
The Rector explicitly asks the students to never even think of using drugs, because the consequences to come will be very formidable, including the consequence in the afterlife. “Make sure that you will never be trapped in drugs,” advises the Rector towards the students, including the board of student organizations in Untar.
The counseling on drug hazard was given by the Head Deputy of the Drug Police Unit of West Jakarta Resort, Police Commissioner H. Khoiri S.H., M.M., who explained the dangers of narcotics of any kind, including the shape and the legal consequences that will be faced by the dealers and the users.
Untar implements strict rules and gives zero tolerance to anyone that is involved in drugs. Prevention acts have been implemented through a socialization to students and campus security officers, as well as conducting cooperation with the police force. (Nat/DC)
