Tarumanagara Foundation launches a new Statute on Thursday (13/10) at UNTAR Campus, Jakarta. The launching was marked with the signatory of Statute documents by Chairman of the Board of Directors (BoD) of Tarumanagara Foundation, Dr. Gunardi, and Secretary of the Board, Dr. Ariawan Gunadi.
Witnesses of the signatory include Chairman of the Trustee of Tarumanagara Foundation, Mr. The Ning King, along with other Trustee members, Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara, Prof. Agustinus Purna Irawan, Chief of the Indonesia Private University Association (APTISI), Dr. Budi Djatmiko; Chief of the Indonesia Organizing Body Private University Center Association (ABPPTSI), Prof. Dr. Thomas Suyatno and Private University Third Area Chief Coordinator, represented by Putut Pujogiri, S.H.
Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation BoD, Dr. Gunardi, says that this statute is the basic rules dealing with UNTAR organization. It offers more flexibility and accommodate fundamental regulations, so that it is capable to overcome the rapid development of the University. In the 2016 statute, Rector and Dean are responsible for managing only academic-related aspects, while the non-academic work (business function) will be the subject of the Foundation’s activities. “Through this Statute, the University chiefs are expected to work more systemically, and can concentrate on creating, developing and producing academic primes, as the non-academic work (administration) is now out of their scope,” said Dr. Gunardi.
The revision of the Statute was made through comparisons with several local and overseas universities. Furthermore, the Statute also adopts inputs from some prominent figures, including Prof. Thomas Suyatno, Prof. H. Suyatno as well as receives approval from the University’s Senate. (GS)
