On 17th – 19th of February 2017, a community service program themes CLEOPATRA, which is Caring and Loving Each Other with Passion, Togetherness and Ability, was held by Student Executive Board of Faculty of Psychology Tarumanagara University. This program was held in Leuweung Larangan, Pancawati Village, Caringin District, Bogor, West Java.
In this program, students from class of 2016 was targeted to be the participator. Participants who joined this program were on duty of helping the lecturer to counsel and to distribute donation in form of stationary for the kids, wireless mic and speaker for school and staff and staple to people in need. Moreover, the committee of this program empowered local residents to prepare consumption over the course of the program in 3 days so that the job can help their economic matters. There were also few of lecturers who came during the program, Dr. Fransisca, M.Si., Agustina, M.Psi., Psikolog., Meiske, M.Psi., Psikolog, and Untung Subroto, M.Psi., Psikolog to represent our Psychology Faculty.
Not only social activities that were held, the committee also prepared special events for the participants. These events were held in order for the new students to grow their solidarity to each other through the activities they spent together. Participants were divided into small groups for the game sessions that require cooperation and performing their talent at the bonfire session.
CLEOPATRA’s event was running smoothly until the end and all of the committee and participants had returned save back to Jakarta. Almost all of the feedback we got from local residents and participants were positive. Local residents also find this program very helpful for them in many ways. (V/ENES)
