In the Faculty of Psychology Tarumanagara University, there are some Alternative Subjects (MKP) which can be taken on the 6th semester such as Psychology Business and Marketing, Ergonomics, Psychology of Creativity and Innovation, Environment Psychology, Career Guidance, Family Psychology, Criminology & Forensic , Architecture Psychology, Arts Psychology, Social Intervention Techniques and Sports Psychology.
First, Business Psychology is a course with a weight of 4 credits in order to understand, analyze, and explain aspects and general functions of a business, as well as understanding the role of psychology in the business world. Then, Ergonomics is a course with a weight of 2 credits in order to understand the principles and the link between psychological and physical design that is oriented to the optimization of productivity based on the characteristics of human physiological conditions.
Psychology of Creativity and Innovation is a course with a weight of 2 credits which aims to develop creativity and innovation of students in life. Furthermore, Environment Psychology is a course with a weight of 2 credits discussing the understanding of concepts in the analysis of behavior influenced by the environment in terms of both social and physical.
Career guidance is subject to a weight of 2 credits that teach students the theory in a career that will be applied in accordance with the potential of his career and the interest it has. Then, Family Psychology is a subject with a weight of 2 credits aimed at understanding the function of the family members, especially children and to parent more effectively and understand the child’s development.
Criminology & Forensic is a course with a weight of 2 credits which discussed the role of the profession of psychology in the proceedings and examination of criminal cases. Then, Architectural Psychology is a subject with a weight of 2 credits aimed for students to understand comprehensively the concepts and theories about the gestalt psychology and behavioral psychology that can be applied in the field or the world of architecture.
Arts Psychology is a course with a weight of 4 credits that discussed the psychological aspects or concepts that play a role in the context of art. Then, the Social Intervention Technique is a subject with a weight of 2 credits aimed to able to identify social problems and provide appropriate interventions. Lastly, the Sport Psychology is a course with a weight of 2 credits discussing the basic concepts of sports psychology and apply it to everyday life.
