The Director of Student and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Adianto, opened the Entrepreneur Camp on Friday (22/9) in Ciawi, Bogor, West Java. The event themed “Realizing Local Potential With Entrepreneurial Spirit” was attended by students from various faculties. This event is to put into practice of Untar’s Vision and Mission, in which Entrepreneurs is one of the main pillars of the University.
Dr. Adianto M.Sc in his opening speech, affirms that this Entrepreneur Camp will motivate the students of Untar to become great entrepreneurs. Till this date, Untar is known for creating students and graduates that dives into the world of entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneur Camp is one of Untar’s program to develop student’s entrepreneurial spirit. Students that participate in this program could gain knowledge and insights from business practitioners, academics, and lecturers. The guest speakers for this event are the CEO of PT. Keera Sistem Indonesia, Andreas Bastedo – an entrepreneur in the creative field, the Founder of Tech and Co, and the COO of Gorry Gourmet Herry Budiman, who is an alumnus of Untar.
Moreover, the two-day camp provides a better understanding to the students on the steps and strategy to start a business, business models and business plans, and how to implement the theories into an actual business. The goal is to educate the students, in learning the basic knowledge and skills required to start up a business. It is expected that this event could create young entrepreneurs that will build their business early on.
According to Jason, one of the participants from the Industrial Engineering programme, this activity adds his insight and knowledge on entrepreneurship. He admits that the classes in Untar in a way have some aspects that lead to the formation of entrepreneurship spirit within students. Entrepreneur Camp is an ongoing program under the Directorate of Student and Alumni Affairs. (Nat/DC)
